2 down, 1 to go

Parties 1 and 2 are over and done with. The first one was for a classmate of Hannah's. It was really neat because they had a "surprise guest" for the party which was actually their teacher, Mr. Warren. Mr. Warren is not your typical first grade teacher. He has tattoos, a shaved head, and a laidback "rocker" personality. And he's a musician. He is VERY popular with the kids and sings great character building songs. You can check him out here: www.joelwarrenrocks.com

Alright, time to head out for Party 3. This is the one that is fun for the adults. After the kid portion of the party we all just hang out, drink beer, and eat. Sweet! And it's two houses up so we don't have to worry about designating a driver.

By the way, today was one of those days that every parent has every so often. You go along with your kids day in and day out and then all of a sudden they'll turn to look at you in just a certain way and you say to yourself "Wow! When did he/she get so grown up?" I had one of those moments with Jake today. He just seemed like such a big kid today. It made me a little bit sad since he is my baby after all.
