We've told the kids that they can spend their allowance money this week. They haven't been able to spend it on anything lately and therefore it has been adding up. They're allowed to spend it this week on a toy of their choosing provided they spend a minimum of $5 on a toy to be donated to charity this Christmas. We've also told them that we'll match whatever they spend on the charitable item. So if they find a $15 toy for charity they have to pay $7.50 and we'll pay $7.50 as well.
They're so excited to spend their money but I keep trying to remind them they can also continue to save it if they want. I don't know if that will happen. Jake was in here earlier doing his "We're going shopping!" dance. Absolutely hilarious.
